Our Mission
Founded in September 2021, Product of my Surroundings is a 501I(c)(3) non-profit with a goal of giving back to the community by teaching children the importance of education, entrepreneurship, and building generational wealth.
About us
Pursuing the vision of a nation where children of all ethnic groups can be successful and have leaders and communities support their dreams, Ryan Neal serves as Founder of Product of My Surroundings. Mr. Neal is a seasoned U.S. Navy Veteran who has deployed around the world with destinations ranging from Djibouti, Africa, to Okinawa, Japan. After 13 years in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Neal transitioned into civilian life and pursued endeavors in his passion of technology, philanthropy, and business. Mr. Neal currently serves as a Systems-Engineer government contractor in Washington, D.C., where he also owns a small business. Mr. Neal’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in computer science from South Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Programs
This Organization was created because we want to have a better community around us. Imagine a world where you see people around you suffer without proper education, lack of supplies or resources, which makes you uncomfortable. Then you decide to do something about it.
Product of my Surroundings plans to address children’s lack of education and resources in the community. Education has become a low priority for local governments, so our non-profit is hoping to make some change. Our vision is to help lower-income kids, including boys and girls from 5-13, develop into model citizens by investing in education, giving them the resources they need, and being role models.
We will be doing regular events, including bookbag drives, food drives, financial courses, clothes drives, and mentorship. Our services will also include:
